Artist: Jeetu Ramachandran feat. Chaitra
Orchestration: Ram Surender
Lyrics: Kirthika Kumrouth
Composed by: Jeetu Ramachandran

Furkat, the mood of separation…. is an emotionally riveting story of how ordinary people can make a difference and it’s a story of how one perceives and shapes the past. But this is not a straightforward story… this is an alternate history – both the lovers live their lives in alternate versions of reality…

Love has many faces… it has togetherness, intimacy and bliss; it also has insecurity, misunderstandings and despair. The pain of separation from the beloved is beyond words. One realizes the true value of love only when he is away from it. This song revolves around the mental agony of separated lovers and their wish to again be together…

Furkat, is an experiment using the pacey violin strings of a western orchestra with the lively feel of Indian flute! I’ve used both Indian Basuri and Peruvian Flute in this song. The orchestration towards the climax is totally western classical and is merged with Indian Classical Vocals and Harmony…

As a result I got this beautiful piece, a tone so convincing and the lyrics so real that makes one feel special about their special one!
Chaitra’s excellent vocals, Ram Surender’s brilliant orchestration & Kirthika’s touching lyrics leaves me with the appreciation and my heartiest thanks to the Trio!

mujhse ulfat na kar , main iske kaabil nahi
tu nafrat kare to gilaa bhi nahi
tadpaaya par aah bharne na diya

kyu, kabhi dil ulfate, kabhi ye ranjishe, tujhpe barsaae
dil judte hi kisliye, tuta phir jorse, kaise batlaaye
aahate tumhari dur ja gayi kyun hain……….kya karib aa jaaoge?
mere saath mein pyaar ke diye kya jalaaoge? kya jalaaoge?
maine jo bhi gam tujhko diye kya bhulaaoge ? kya bhulaaoge?

main chal rahi thi lahre banke, ye na jaana, tu hain bunde mujhme samayaa……
dur aasman mein udna chaaha, na jaana, ki tu hain meri dor…
kya mujhe apne saath baandhoge?
mere saath mein pyaar ke diye kya jalaaoge? kya jalaaoge?
maine jo bhi gam tujhko diye kya bhulaaoge ? kya bhulaaoge?

dil ki baatien jahaan ke bas mein nahi…
yeh samaj aaye itna bhi asaan nahi…
tute dil ki pareshaniya hai badi…
raah uski hamesh ha tujhse judi…
pyaar ka dard mil jaye kismat mein sabke nahi…
