  • Tell us more about yourself

I come from commerce background and marketing field is my choice of interest. I have interest in creative and artistic work like pot painting, drawing, and calligraphy. I also like to read books, listening music and writing.

  • Were you expecting to top in the exams? To whom would you credit this success to?

I was not expecting to top in the exams. But with the grace of God and blessings of my parents I did and the whole credit goes to my parents and teachers!

  • Did you prepare religiously from day One or A few weeks before the exams?

Frankly speaking I started preparing for exams a month before it.

  • How did you allot time to different subjects?

YES, I follow a self made timetable. It is like practical subjects I practice daily for an hour whereas other theory subjects are studied once or twice a week.

  • Can you share some insights on how to crack the subjects before exams?

Firstly, a BMS student should prepare his/her schedule and accordingly carry work. Secondly he should find out the subjects in which he is not good and accordingly prepare for it from the beginning. Easy subjects according to me are Strategic management, Business ethics and Corporate social responsibility, Business communication and Public relations .The way which I follow to write in exams is firstly we should introduce the topic and then draw a diagram if possible and then continue with main answer and lastly write conclusion about that answer. While writing case studies, first we have to analyze whether the case study is open ended or close ended. If it is close ended, answer the questions supported with diagrams and key words and if the case study is open ended then start the case study with

1. Summary. 2.Facts  3.Problems  4.Recommendation.  5. Conclusion.

  • Do you think BMS student require coaching classes or is self-study enough? Had you joined any coaching class for a particular subject?

I don’t think that BMS requires a coaching class. SELF STUDY is more than sufficient. But in third year I joined classes but only for practical subjects like financial management and operations research.

  • Did you participate in college fests or extra-curricular activities? Do you think a BMS student can manage both studies and extra activities?

YES I participate in fests and other extracurricular activities and I think students can manage studies with extra activities.

  • Did you pursue any additional courses/ internships alongside BMS?

NO, I didn’t pursue any additional course.

  • Today, we often come across students committing suicide out of failure, depression or tension of exams. What do you have to say about this? Did you use any special techniques for stress management?

YES I agree that BMS is a course in which students are bound to be in stress but there are techniques to overcome this. I personally follow some techniques for stress management i.e. I firstly learn how to manage time and accordingly carry out activities. Secondly BMS is the course which demands creativity and innovation thus; we have to work with complete zeal and enthusiasm to gain best knowledge out of these activities.

  • Do you think the number of Industrial visits should be increased for BMS Students? Which industries have you visited?

YES, I think that number of industrial visits should be increased. I have visited many industries like ASB international, Zandu pharmaceuticals, etc.

  • Do you think BMS students are flooded with assignments, projects and internal exams round the clock? What changes would you like to bring in the BMS Curriculum?

YES, to some extent I think that BMS is flooded with projects and assignment. I would like to recommend that a time period should be fixed for projects and assignments like 2 weeks for project submission plus presentation and 2 weeks for assignment submission and 2 weeks for internals. This will help to maintain a continuous flow of particular type of activities.

  • What message would you like to give to the next batch of BMS students?

I would like to say that BMS is an extremely personality and knowledge building course. We can learn many activities through this course and the main mantra for it is do each and every activity, projects, assignments with full courage and zeal and merely bring creativity and innovation to it.

  • What are the future plans post BMS?

After BMS, I am planning to do JOB in the field of marketing.

Thank you for promoting and motivating the toppers of the college and making them to feel proud…!!!
