An Interview with Basudev Ramapati Shah, TYBMS Sem 5 Topper, St. Rocks College (64.17%)
I am Basudev Shah, TYBMS student of St. Rocks College, working in a cyber café from the last 3 years and now I am going to join Angel Broking Ltd. My family (my brother and 2 sisters) responsibilities made me work and study as well. I credit my academic success to my family because my family supported me to study otherwise I would have left my education after HSC only. I prepared for the exams only 1 month before and made a study timetable. I never studied on daily basis. Business ethics and Service Sector Management are the easy subjects and I study with full concentration, understanding the questions and then relating it with real life examples. Self-study is not enough in BMS as the 2 subjects like Financial Management and Logistics are difficult. I had joined coaching classes for these 2 subjects. Failure is not the end. It is a journey to success. I have failed in 9th and 10th then also I didn’t leave my studies. Whenever I feel stressed, I close my eyes and pray to God. In BMS, I have visited Industries like Parle and Infosys. I feel there should be only 1 IV a year as some students have problem to pay huge amount. Assignments, projects and internal exams are good for BMS students because they are much better than the 60 marks theory papers. I feel BMS is easy to learn and pass the exams. I am planning to do MBA after BMS. BMS.co.in is a good website for BMS students to learn about the current happenings of BMS.
