An Interview with Dilshad Ahmed Shaikh, TYBMS Sem 5 Topper, Rajiv Gandhi College (66%)
I was expecting to get about 70%. I was very scared of FM subject and not mentally prepared to appear for the exams but my Prof. Rafat Jahan, my elder brother and father motivated me to work hard for the subject. I started studying 2 months before the examination and studied 2-3 hours a day. Easy and proper way of University rule to writing answers is point-wise and specific. I think coaching classes motivate students to study in groups otherwise it is very difficult to study alone. I really like to participate in college fests and events and I have also won in many games. Winning was not the criteria as once you participate you also get to know how to play the game. I think exams are like games. Either you win or lose but it does not mean you commit suicide if you lose the game. Try to think WHY I lost and what wrong I did. I feel Industrial Visits should be increased because we are from Business background and it gives a lot of knowledge. I have visited industries in Jaipur and learnt a lot. Every BMS student should know how to prepare Assignments, projects and know-how of the current affairs and industries are required. I am planning to do an MBA and then work in an MNC. BMS students should not get nervous and try to do their best. For BMS.co.in, you should try to motivate the HSC passouts to join BMS and you can conduct seminar for the students.
