Football is one of the most popular sports of all time in most of the countries. In India though Football is not as famous as Cricket but for those who love football for them it has become one of the most important part of their lives. Here below are few names have proved that when it comes to Football even India is no less compared to the other world.
1) Arnab Mondal Age-24 years
Arnab is a huge fan of football and had started playing football since he was eight years old. He joined Mohammedan SC of Kolkata at the age of 17 and spent three years before joining I-league team Prayag United in 2010. Arnab has also played for the Indian national U-23 football team and that to against Qatar U-23 in the 2012 Olympics qualifier. After showing some awesome performance the coach even mentioned that “Keep an eye on this guy. He is the one who will supersede all”
2) Robin Singh 24years
Another rising star from the game of football is Robin Singh with his breathtaking speed is proving to be one of a kind and also poised to become the next Sunil Chhetri. Robin spends almost 4 years at the Tata Football Academy and also spent almost a year in both United Arab Emirates and England thus mastering his skills to perfection. Singh has represented India at the U-16, U-23 and senior levels. He has also made his senior debut for India on August 25 2012 during the 2012 Nehru Cup against Maldives.
3) Jerry Lalrinzuala 17 years
Being just 17 years old Jerry is doing wonders in the game of football and is the best left backs which India has. He belongs to Kolkata and has attended the AIFF regional Academy to improve and sharpen his skills. On 30th July ‘ which happens to be his birthday as well’ last year Jerry showcased his talent by taking a powerful left-footed 35 yard strike to help India beat Nepal 1-0 and lift the South Asian Football Federation U-16 Championship title.
