Youth’s wants and desires towards modern gadgets and similar stuff has been increasing day by day due to which there are lot of arguments between them and their parents taking place these days. Why do youngsters think that their parents don’t want to see them happy? It’s completely wrong because parents always want their children to be happy but if you demand stuff which parents cannot afford then they may not be willing to get you those things because they have their own valid reasons. Parents earn money with a lot of hardwork and spending money on useless stuff is not acceptable for them. If a college going student wants a 2 wheeler or a 4 wheeler then they start pressurising their parents to buy for them. These days college students demand a pocket money of Rs. 3000 and above per month so that they can enjoy with their friends. Youngsters these days are too much into clubbing and partying. For them, drinking, smoking, dancing and eating all the time is FUN. Nowadays parents are really worried when they see their kids coming home late night drunk or becoming drug addicts or getting into a wrong company.

arguing parents

Youngsters want to be a ‘free bird’ and do not want any rules and regulations from their parents or anyone. They think they are grown-up and matured enough to know what is good and bad for them. Parents’ interference in their life is considered to be “nagging” and due to this, they get into constant argument and fights with their parents. Few youngsters don’t even consider their parents’ financial status and still keep demanding more and more money to show-off among friends. Poor parents have no choice at times and they have to buy everything for their children. Youngsters don’t think before they speak and then they regret in future. Youngsters are not only getting into bad habits but are also becoming more greedy, selfish and egoistic. Mahatma Gandhi had quoted “There is sufficiency in the world for man’s needs but not man’s greed.” To ask something from your parents is your right but asking for stuff which are not at all important to your life is not correct. When you back answer to your parents or when you fight for something, you are hurting them which is completely wrong. Guys, come on, grow up and open your eyes. Your parents can afford and pay your bills for education, health etc. but if you are expecting them to buy a bike or fashionable items just because you think that’s their duty, it’s high time you understand how wrong you think. Get up, start earning by doing part-time job or through your talent, and buy things which you think are ‘essential’. Otherwise, keep control of all your wants and greediness.
