What are Network Hubs?

Network hubs are individuals who communicate with more people about a certain product than an average person does. Traditionally they have also been referred to as “opinion leaders”. In the Industry they are called “Influencers”, “lead users” or sometimes “Power users”.

Network Hubs differ from industry to industry. They are complex and difficult to identify-they aren’t just listed on the directory! However there lies tremendous reward for paying attention to these people. They not only further the buzz about a new product but also sometimes their central position helps to change a message or block it from spreading. Network Hubs exists in every category of conversation products: Kids may talk about yo-yos, software engineers about new technologies, and readers about a new book.
