Hi, I am Anil Basraj from Mumbai College of arts, commerce & science. I got 66 percent in 5th semester BMS 2012 and I am the topper of my college.

I am from lower middle class family. We are 5 members including me, my parents and two younger sisters. My father is a railway employee and my mother is a house keeper, two younger sisters are schooling.

Frankly speaking I was not expecting to top in exams instead I was aiming in 2 subjects FM and SSF. But I don’t know, how I got only 27 in FM and 49 in SSF, I was excepting more.

I credit my success to my parents, my classes, my friends and finally to Almighty.

I wish I could have started from day one then there would be different situation at all. But to my bad I started late just before 5-6 weeks to exam.

When I started studying it was already too late to be lazy. I prepared my own time table keeping in mind the syllabus and the time I had. I used to study for at least 6 hours a day including 3 hours for practical.

I allocated time in such a way that during boring hours like in afternoon time or during late night hours I used to go for practical subjects and rest of the time I was doing theory subjects.

Solving university question paper of last 3-4 years will definitely help in last minute preparations.

I don’t know why people say FM & SSF are tough subjects; indeed they are easy and scoring. About theory one should know the syllabus and the topics, this you can do by reading the textbooks. Reading will help you to understand the subject and you will be able to write in exams. While writing exams start with introduction and explain all your points systematically. Once you are through with your topics and syllabus then you won’t find any difficulty to solve case studies and one more thing one should go through the previous case studies and their solution that helps a lot.

According to me for subjects like FM & SSF classes plays an important role. They make you solve each and every type of sums. They will be there for your doubts, will take tests and let you know what kind of preparation you need. Yes, I have joined NAVIGATOR TUTORIALS for FM & SSF.

Unfortunately my college has started with BMS around 3-4years back so we don’t do any events or any activity. But I think a BMS student is capable of handling both these things simultaneously, that what BMS is all about, managing everything at a time… 🙂

No I did not perceive any additional course, but I had to work during my lower semesters due to poor financial condition. I used to work in call centers.

Always Remember one thing life is more precious than your result. You will get second chance in your exams but not in life, so keep all these stupid thoughts aside. I don’t have any special technique for stress management, I just talk to friends, listen music, any bit of internet that’s it I m refreshed.

See as I said my college is new to BMS and so I got only one IV that too in first year. I think its fine to have one IV in a year.  We went to Karma industries in Chandigarh.

At times it feels like flooded with internal work but I think that’s ok for 40marks. I don’t know if anything has to be changed, I am sure required changes will do take place.

Next batch please do take your BMS last year seriously and start studying from day one so that you score well. Try to solve university question paper it will surely boost your confidence and will help you a lot. Take care and do study well.

As of now to get good marks in 6th sem and I will be looking job as my priority due to my financial condition but will surely look for MBA in near future.

BMS.co.in is doing great job really appreciate it. Continue this way and also if you can give some company reference which will help a lot for guys like me.
