1) Tell us about yourself?

I am residing in Mumbai since birth and really love this city. I had a keen interest in Architecture but my fortune bought me to the K.J.Somaiya college and i landed up doing BMS which i feel was the best decision took by me as now i have developed myself in the best way possible. I like making new friends and precisely loyal friends! I am self reliant and like being presentable and interacting with as many people i can so as to get the exposure. I plan to do MBA in finance after my graduation. I believe in “Everything happens for a reason” and this is what never stopped me going in my hard times.

2) How does it feel to be a Topper of the college in TY Sem V exams?

It6 feels amazing. This wasn’t expected at all. Frankly speaking I was of the opinion that i would have scored decent enough but the results came like the most surprising ones for me. Yes, i had put in a lot of efforts and its all worth it now!

3) Whom will you credit your success to?

My brother Shivam is the main purpose behind my success, though he did not sit and made me study but all he did was,he made me take up this course and a thankful to him for that.  Secondly, Navigator Tutorials for working hard on students individually and precisely Prof. Mihir Mehta.

4) Did you start preparing from the first day of your TY Sem V?

Not exactly 1st but yes i started around after 10 days of TY

5) How did you study for Sem V?

I practiced FM, SSF sums on weekly basis and being more precise i had a look on the necessary rules and formulae everyday. 2 hours a day if you study sincerely you are gonna crack it

All that FM takes is healthy practice of sums.

6) Which are the easy subjects in Sem V?

Business Ethics and Service Sector management

7) Any special way of writing the answers? Do you write answers in bullet points or in paragraphs?

Tree diagrams are the ones that are to be made in each and every answer of more than 7 marks. I write my answers in bullets and explained the points very precisely

8) How do you crack case studies in theory and practical subjects?

By drawing tree diagram of the head points, half of your work is done there and there for theory and for practical subjects all u got to do is solve the sums with surety.

9) Did you draw any diagram in any paper? Is it mandatory? Does it help to get more marks?

It is not mandatory but it can fetch you good marks as your paper looks quite presentable.

10)Any specific study pattern adopted i.e. timetable / how many hours per subject per day etc.?

No, i did not follow any such pattern

11) How do you fight against mood swings and distractions during exam preparation?

I simply used to close my books if i wan not willing to study. I used to listen to some music or take a nap and then get back to studies with a fresh mood.

12) If you are made the Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University, what changes would you like to initiate in Indian education system?

I would bring back the 60-40 pattern. I would make presentations compulsory in each and every college as it is something which enables the students to explore themselves. Results would be declared within 1 and half month.

13) Many students prepare sincerely but constantly live under fear that they are not from big college / not from English medium and eventually lose confidence. What message would you like to these students?

Education has nothing to do with your college or if you are from a vernacular medium. Just study and get the knowledge success will follow.

  14) Through this struggle and success, what have you learned? What is the wisdom of life and competition?

Hardwork is all it takes for achievement.

15) Your feedback for BMS.co.in?

Thanks for motivating the students.
