Maria Sharapova one of the most famous and top Badminton player after Serena and Venus William makes into the French open finals after winning the semi-final match against Canada’s Eugenie Bouchard during the French open tennis tournament in Paris on Thursday. Sharapova wins with a score 4-6, 7-5, and 6-2 on against Eugenie Bouchard on Thursday.
The seventh-ranked Russian faced a hard time in the starting of the tournament losing the first set for the third straight match, but after being so talented managed to bounce back turning things around. Sharapova won 8 out of the 10 last games showing the world how important is winning the tournament for her. Thus she has now won 19 straight three-set matches on clay.
Sharapova completed a career Grand Slam by winning the title at Roland Garros in 2012 but unfortunately lost against the world champion Serena Williams in the last year’s final after all being a world-champion Serena is not at all an easy opponent to win from. On the other hand Bouchard a 20-year-old Canadian was playing the French Open for the only second time. Last year she lost to sharapova in the second round.
Sharapova in the initial stages of the match against Bouchard struggled a little double-faulting nine times and getting broken four times. But then to she made up for her shaky serving with solid Groundstroke’s, either going for winning or waiting for Bouchard to commit errors.
Hence now the Finals is on Saturday and wish Maria sharapova and other Badminton players ‘All The Very Best’ and hope that the best one wins!
