As we all know that Chennai Super Kings led under the Captaincy of Mahindra Singh Dhoni has always turned out to be a successful team in the history of Indian Premier League but this year the story was little different for the Chennai team with twist and turns. Despite losing a few, the Super kings came back strongly to get in the contention for yet another title clash. The two-times champions despite facing defeats in the initial matches this season has regain its chance by bouncing back again in the game by showing outstanding performance in the last few matches which has overshadowed their frustrating start of the season.
Super kings have showed what does team spirit and following a planned strategy actually mean’s by giving Mumbai Indians a humiliating defeat in the Eliminator on Wednesday. The feeling of pride that comes in defeating a team in their own home-town packed with their vociferous supporter’s mast totally unique and motivating for the Super kings.
Now the real challenge is to face the kings XI Punjab who has been a tough competitor of the season maintaining its position on the top of the leader board by winning 11 of their 14 league games to finish on top, before going down to Kolkata knight riders in the first qualifier at the Eden gardens Wednesday evening.
But when it comes to confidence I feel Super kings is the team which must be full of Confident players after defeating a team like Mumbai Indian and that to in their home-town thus making the game difficult for Punjab. But when it comes to Punjab the player which can prove to be dangerous for Super kings is Glenn Maxwell showing outstanding performance in various matches of the season.
We desperately await to see the action on the battlefield when to such strong teams clash against each other!
