Kedar Jadhav one of the most talented and aspiring cricketer made it impossible for India to ignore him with his fantastic performance of 1223 runs in the last Ranji season, the fourth highest of all time. The element of luck also no doubted played its part equally in the success of Jadhav but it would be churlish to put it down to luck alone because India are not in the habit of giving unblooded 29-year olds a chance to play international cricket. The reason behind selection of Jadhav is his hard-work behind putting up a fantastic score of 1223 runs in the last Ranji season, the fourth highest of all time.
The average of those runs came out to be 87.35 and also earned six centuries (204, 106, 173, 128, 120 and 112)… isn’t that amazing! And that to a staggering strike rate of 80.30. He even showcased his talent in the Indian Premier league with a score of 149 runs from 10 innings at 29.80 and strike-rate of 147.52 and most interesting is it the highest among all Delhi daredevils’ batsmen.
Now talking about the special innings which changed Jadhav’s life was the special century that proved to be the turning point in Jadhav’s career- the innings of 120 which he played against defending champions Mumbai in the quarter-final of the 2013-14 Ranji trophy. Jadhav came back to the pavilion with his heart filled with pride after 85 off next 67 balls and ended up with the 120 from 144 balls which included free flowing drives along with powerful cuts and silken flicks.
Thus Jadhav ultimately got successful in proving his worth in the world of cricket… Way to go Jadhav!
