Q1) Tell us about yourself?

ANS- I did my schooling and junior college from Fr.Agnels,Vashi. I belong to a business family and hence have a business background which got me interested in this course. I intend to pursue MBA in retail marketing.

Q2) How does it feel to be a Topper of the college in TY Sem V exams?

ANS-I feel extremely humbled and overwhelmed, it is a great feeling to know that all my efforts and hardwork have been paid off, however after having set such a benchmark for myself I will have to work as twice as hard to maintain with all the expectations I have from myself.

Q3) Whom will you credit your success to?

ANS- I would like to acknowledge my family for being so motivating and encouraging especially my elder sisters for their constant guidance and my teachers for their support and for helping me maintain my forcus.

Q4) Did you start preparing from the first day of your TY Sem V?

ANS-Honestly no, I sincerely started studying 2 months before my exams were scheduled.

Q5) How did you study for Sem V?

ANS-For all the theory subjects I made sure I understood the concept well instead of only memorising the answers and for FM I used to practice the sums on daily basis.

Q6) Which are the easy subjects in Sem V?

ANS- I created an interest and liking for the subjects which eventually made all the subjects easy.

Q7) Any special way of writing the answers? Do you write answers in bullet points or in paragraphs?

ANS- I start with the definition(if any), introduction, the main answer and 2-3 lines in the end to conclude the answer. I try to stick to the question asked without deviating, quality of the answer matters more than the quantity. I always write in bullet points as it is easier for the examiner to evaluate and for me to systematical write my answer.

Q8) How do you crack case studies in theory and practical subjects?

ANS-Casestudies are based on the concepts so I made it a point to understand the basic concepts and I referred to many casestudies to ensure that I was backed with enough information.

Q9) Did you draw any diagram in any paper? Is it mandatory? Does it help to get more marks?

ANS-I drew diagrams whenever it was necessary, it is not mandatory but it definitely projects a clear explanation of the answer.

Q10)Any specific study pattern adopted i.e. timetable / how many hours per subject per day etc.?

ANS- A month prior to exams I devoted 5 days per subject, each day for one unit and 5th day to revise all 4 units. I maintain a small book for each subject wherein I note down all the important points and definitions.

Q11) How do you fight against mood swings and distractions during exam preparation?

ANS-I regularly used to go to the gym or for jogging/cycling in the evening to rejuvenate myself, it helped me concentrate better and I refrained myself from social networking applications during my exam preparations as one tends to waste a lot of time in these activities.

Q12) If you are made the Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University, what changes would you like to initiate in Indian education system?

ANS- The Indian education system is driven by theoretical knowledge, an equal importance must be given to practical knowledge and example based studies.

Q13) Many students prepare sincerely but constantly live under fear that they are not from big college / not from English medium and eventually lose confidence. What message would you like to these students?

ANS-Irrespective of the language and type of college, the quality of knowledge doesn’t deteriorate. One must have confidence in themselves.

Q14) Through this struggle and success, what have you learned? What is the wisdom of life and competition?

ANS- I have learned that all the challenges in life should be faced with dedication, hardwork and patience. One must compete with themselves instead of competiting with others. Don’t waste these precious years of learning- they will never come back!

Q15) Your feedback for BMS.co.in?

ANS- BMS.co.in has helped me with my queries and provided all the information that I needed. Thank you.
