Tell us about yourself, your background, why did you join BMS and what do you plan to do after BMS?

A strong headed girl with big time dreams. Always searching for a chance to do different things, I thought BMS was the course which would give me an array of subjects to study. I would explore newer interests and thus I choose BMS. Further I plan to do my masters and then join the corporate world.

How does it feel to be a Topper of the college in Semester exams?

It feels totally great. But also it is a nervous feeling when you know that a whole lot of people are expecting. But that’s also the most exciting part of it.
Whom will you credit your success to?

I credit my success entirely to my family for the support, Friends for the love and teachers for the guidance. My sister especially, she’s been a very important part of my success. And with university exams just a week before her wedding, results was the best wedding gift I could give to her and my brother in law.

Did you start preparing from the first day of your TY?

No, it began gradually as exams were nearing.

How did you study for Sem V?
I did the study unitwise and as per paper pattern. Last minute revisions were a total no for me because that made me confuse. I made sure I knew the important parts well.

Which are the easy subjects in Sem V?

As for me the practical subjects FM and SSF

Any special way of writing the answers?

I write answers and underline the main points with a pencil.
Do you write answers in bullet points or in paragraphs?
Bullet Points. I think they always work in your favour.
How do you crack case studies in theory and practical subjects?
Reading between the lines helps to solve case studies. Practising is the only key to practical subjects.
Did you draw any diagram in any paper? Is it mandatory? Does it help to get more marks?

Yes I did draw diagrams. I don’t think it’s mandatory bt yes it does help.

Any specific study pattern adopted i.e. timetable / how many hours per subject per day etc.?

Not specific timetable whenever I did study I gave my 100% without any kind of distractions.
How do you fight against mood swings and distractions during exam preparation?

Short breaks in between study times. Being in a house that was hosting a wedding, distractions were just too many. I used to keep motivating myself by thinking that at the end of day there’s a celebration or shopping.

If you are made the Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University, what changes would you like to initiate in Indian education system?

Make subjects more practical and updated. Exams that are not theoretical but application based.
Many students prepare sincerely but constantly live under fear that they are not from big college / not from English medium and eventually lose confidence. What message would you like to these students?

I personally being from UPG I faced the big college competition left, right and center. The big name doesn’t matter the difference is in you that makes you stand out.
Through this struggle and success, what have you no learned? What is the wisdom of life and competition?
Through struggle and success what I learnt is whatever life brings, through the ups and downs, your faith and belief in your own self sails you.
What is your message to the upcoming BMS students?
Do what you feel is right. You can make BMS as special as much people think it’s ordinary.
