Ahead of the England vs India 4th test at Old Trafford Cricket ground at Manchester, the Indian cricketers popped up at the other Old Trafford, the Manchester United Football Club’s home ground, the Theatre of Dreams. It was amazing to see one of the best cricket teams in the world visiting one of the best football clubs in the world.
It was a great tour for Indian Cricketers especially their captain M S Dhoni who is a Manchester United fan. It is always to visit a place like Old Trafford as it is just not about touring one of the most famous football club’s football ground, it is more about experiencing the tradition, the culture, the history of becoming one of the greatest clubs ever. The Indian team visited the dugout, the pitch, the dressing room but they also visited a very special place the Munich tunnel, which was made to honor the players and staff who lost their lives in the plane crash at Munich in 1958. Later the team went on the pitch and practiced some football and had fun after a few moments of sadness. Team also visited the training complex of Man United and also the famous youth academy of Manchester United.
All in all it was probably a great experience for players and specially Dhoni who is a fan and admirer of Manchester United. There is a huge similarity between Dhoni and United when it comes to never die attitude, always fighting for success and those late comeback wins. M S Dhoni and Man United seems the match made in heaven.
