  • Tell us more about yourself.

I  GAURI GITE currently pursuing my bachelor degree from Model College Dombivli. I am very punctual. I always try to do whatever work assigned to me with perfection and in time.

  • Were you expecting to top in the exams? To whom would you credit this success to?

Frankly speaking I was not expecting this time though I was the topper of my class since last 4 semesters. The whole credit of this success goes to my all faculties especially Prof. Hemangi and Prof.  Gauri and last but not the least my parents.

  • Did you prepare religiously from day One or A few weeks before the exams?

No, I don’t start preparation from first day. I start preparing hardly 1 month before exams.

  • How did you allot time to different subjects?

I don’t prepare any self made timetable because I never follow time tables for studies. I always study for 3-4 hours a day. I always make combination of theory and practical subjects and allot time according to that.

  • Can you share some insights on how to crack the subjects before exams?

Every subject is easy it just depends on how much command you have on that particular subject.

Just write answers for all the questions in point wise with proper introduction, definition and a short conclusion related to that question and also underline the key words of the answer. For practical subjects like financial management always write formulas and avoid cuttings.

To crack case studies, just practice it for both theory and practical you can solve case studies available in books or previous papers so that you will get idea of it.

Tips- for theory subjects you can prepare notes in which definitions of all concepts and points of all answers will be there.

For practical subjects just list down all the formulas.

It will be helpful for last minute revision.

  • Do you think BMS student require coaching classes or is self-study enough? Had you joined any coaching class for a particular subject?

It depends on the students whether they want to join coaching classes or do self-study.

I had joined classes for financial management logistics and special studies in marketing.

  •  Did you participate in college fests or extra-curricular activities? Do you think a BMS student can manage both studies and extra activities?

Yes I have participated in quiz competition, Metamorphosis. A BMS student can manage both studies and extra-curricular activities both are important and you should decide how much time you devote for both and how you can balance it without making a mess.

  • Did you pursue any additional courses/ internships alongside BMS?

I have done additional computer courses along with my studies.

  •  Today, we often come across students committing suicide out of failure, depression or tension of exams. What do you have to say about this? Did you use any special techniques for stress management?

Committing suicide is not the solution for failure if we have lost one chance  it doesn’t mean that we will not get another chance it just how much patiently you handle the present situation and look forward positively and it is always said that failure is the first step towards success so keep on trying.

When I am in stress I just keep aside all the work and just listen to music.

  • Do you think the number of Industrial visits should be increased for BMS Students? Which industries have you visited?

Yes industrial visits should be increased because practical knowledge is equally important with theoretical once and we get practical experience also and we can relate our theoretical knowledge to it.

Till now I have visited Mahananda, HMT.ltd.

  • Do you think BMS students are flooded with assignments, projects and internal exams round the clock? What changes would you like to bring in the BMS Curriculum?

No I don’t think so because we are given time for our assignments, projects and internals. The change I would like to make in BMS curriculum is to make it more practical oriented.

  • What message would you like to give to the next batch of BMS students?

Just believe in yourself and keep a target in front of you and work accordingly. Please don’t take tension of future in your present and spoil your present.

  • What are the future plans post BMS?

I want to do MBA and appear for UPSC exams.
