  • Tell us about yourself

Challenges drive me, Problems motivate me, Family is my life, I believe in giving back to the community in which I live.  All of us have numerous privileges that many people in the world can only dream of. We have access to excellent education.  Therefore, it is not just a good thing to give back, it is our duty to try and make the world a better place for those less fortunate than ourselves.

I think “Conversations make a better society”.

  • Were you expecting to top in the exams? To whom would you credit this success to?

For me ranks and scores are not important what really matter is what I have learned and how can I Contribute to the society with the knowledge I have, I always give my best to whatever task assign to me and success follows as a blessing of Almighty, Credit for success in exams goes to my college Professor for teaching me, my family for constant support and motivation and genuine friends who stood by me.

  • Did you prepare religiously from day One or A few weeks before the exams?

Every single second of my life is dedicated to prepare myself for the exam of life where knowledge and hard work are key to achieving goal of my life, I have habit of reading newspaper and discussing current issues with my colleagues so whatever theory is taught in class from textbook I relate it with real life example that helps me to learn everyday.

  • How did you allot time to different subjects?

I do not follow any specific timetable, I sit regularly in all lectures in college and 80% of my study is done, I come home and just do revision.

  • Can you share some insights on how to crack the subjects before exams?

Presentation of the Paper should be good, write lot of examples, with every answer a example from corporate world should follow, It helps the examiner to know that you have understood the topic, For Financial Management and Special studies in finance do regular practice. Do not copy paste the content from textbook in your mind, create and write your own answer.

  • Do you think BMS student require coaching classes or is self-study enough? Had you joined any coaching class for a particular subject?

Whether to go for coaching classes or not depends on two factors, are you attending college regularly and are you able to understand what your college professor is teaching you ,avoid coaching classes but if answer to any of the above question is no than go classes, I attended classes for financial  Management for more practise.

  • Did you participate in college fests or extra-curricular activities? Do you think a BMS student can manage both studies and extra activities?

Extra –Curricular activities us to widen our horizon, I try to attend and participate in all seminar and workshop in different colleges, it also helps in networking.

  • Did you pursue any additional courses/ internships alongside BMS?

I am also interesting in Stock Market and Commodity Market so I have appeared for Modules of NSE; I am doing internship with a media firm as a reporter.

  • Today, we often come across students committing suicide out of failure, depression or tension of exams. What do you have to say about this? Did you use any special techniques for stress management?

From my experience I can tell you that what you can learn from your failure you can never learn from your success, don’t be afraid to fail. Don’t waste energy trying to cover up failure. Learn from your failures and go on to the next challenge. It’s OK to fail. If you’re not failing, you’re not growing. Prayers help me to concentrate and keep away from stress.

  • Do you think the number of Industrial visits should be increased for BMS Students? Which industries have you visited?

I have visited many Industries and also Parliament of India. Industrial visit helps to study different management style adopted across different companies and do comparative study of various techniques and think of solutions to the problem they face.

  • Do you think BMS students are flooded with assignments, projects and internal exams round the clock? What changes would you like to bring in the BMS Curriculum?

I don’t think BMS students are flooded with assignments and all. We are doing a professional course so you can’t expect things to be easy like B.Com. From my experience, I feel students should be exposed to the practical world by giving more research work, each lecture should start with business news related to the topic and internship should be made compulsory.

  • What message would you like to give to the next batch of BMS students?

Read Business News papers everyday, keep yourself updated with what’s happening in the industry it is not possible to know every thing about business world but you should have completed insights about your field of interest, never miss opportunities for internship, books cannot teach you everything. Laugh at yourself, but don’t ever aim your doubt at yourself. Be bold. When you embark for strange places, don’t leave any of yourself safely on shore. Have the nerve to go into unexplored territory.

  • What are the future plans post BMS?

I aspire to start my own business after some experience and do MBA from reputed B-School.
