E-Recruitment:

The technological revolution in telecommunications helped the organizations to use internet as a source of recruitment. Organizations advertise the job vacancies through the World Wide Web (www). The job seekers send their applications through e-mail using the Internet. Alternatively, job seekers place their CVs in the world wide web/internet, which can be drawn by the prospective employers depending upon their requirements.

 

Advantages of e-recruitment include:

  1. Low cost of recruitment per candidate.
  2. Reduction in time for recruitment.
  3. Increase in the selection ratio i.e. recruiting more candidates.
  4. HR professionals can concentrate on strategic issues.
  5. Increased rate of ‘collaboration among the recruiting agencies and
  6. Increased effectiveness and efficiency of recruitment.
