Cristiano Ronaldo, the first player ever to win all four main PFA and FWA awards in 2007, and being the first player to ever win the European Golden Shoe award in two different championships, has won the FIFA Ballon d’Or award for 2013, ending Lionel Messi’s four-year run as the world’s best player.
The Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is considered a superstar of modern soccer. He is a key player in the Portuguese National Team, Real Madrid, and his previous team Manchester United. He is a savvy, arrogant goal scoring machine that has been compared to the likes to Lionel Messi, Maradona, and David Beckham. It is clear that he will continue to strive in the soccer world for years to come.
Ronaldo scored 69 goals for Real Madrid and Portugal last year, and his stunning hat trick against Sweden in a decisive World Cup playoff was perhaps the defining individual performance.
He defeated Barcelona’s Messi and France winger Franck Ribery, who helped Bayern Munich to a sweep of major titles. Voting was done by national team captains and coaches, plus selected journalists, in FIFA’s 209 member countries.
Here are 4 Successful Tips which you can learn from Cristiano Ronaldo:
1) Stay focused on your goal:
Ronaldo came from humble upbringing and was surrounded with negative situations e.g. his dad was a drunkard, mother had to take up cooking and cleaning as they were very poor. But still Ronaldo focused on soccer and ignored the situations which would affect him emotionally. By the age of 10, he was already a recognized amazing soccer player.
2) Be extremely passionate about your career:
In childhood, all Ronaldo wanted was to play football as he loved the game so much that he would miss meals or escape out of his bedroom window with a ball when he was supposed to do his homework. He honed this skill exceptionally well and has a deeply rooted for this great game.
3) Strive for Excellence:
He is known one of the best in the game only because he is addicted to perfection. He always feels that there is an endless need to learn, to improve, to evolve and to practice. All this is done not to please anyone but to get satisfaction. No one can stop you no matter what is your age.
4) Give back to the society:
In 2009, Ronaldo became the most expensive player in FIFA. In 2011, he became the highest goal scorer in the history of team Real Madrid. But still he is a firm believer in returning back to the society. He has a special attachment with kids and hence, he donates regularly fees to children in Palestine. He has invested in ‘Save The Children’which helps children get better and healthy lives all over the world.
