2) Gain the audience’s attention and involvement

3) Establish eye contact

4) Use natural body movements and gestures, consistent with message

5) Ensure that pronunciation is correct

6) Avoid “uh” and “ah”

7) Avoid monotone

Handling Questions and the Unexpected

1) Repeat questions as necessary

2) Answer specifically and concisely

3) Address answers to whole audience

4) Check whether answer is understood

5) Avoid being unclear

6) Maintain professional serenity

7) Predict possible outcomes, e.g. failure of visuals, lost notes etc.

Team Presentations

1) Ensure a integrated presentation

2) Refer to one another’s material

3) Coordinate and avoid repetition

4) Rehearse timing

5) Stay offstage when not speaking

6) All should be present for questions
