Hariyali Teej / Teej festival / Shravani Teej welcomes the advent of the monsoon. The festival is dedicated to Goddess Parvathi and commemorates the day when she was united with Lord Shiva after a penance of 100 years making them a symbol of an ideal marriage. Teej festival is women’s festival which falls on 30th July 2014 i.e. on the 3rd day of the bright fortnight of the Shrawan month.
