Review: The Panasonic T31 launched with a huge AD Campaign in the market, made us review it. With the tag line of ‘Live Life Installment free’ we hoped for features that would make the user stick to this piece and not go in for an expensive smart phone. Sadly, the T31 fails to deliver.
For a basic smartphone the 3 MP camera without flash is a turnoff, the Internal storage is standard 4 GB and can be extended to 32 GB using a microSD card. Out of the 4 GB internal storage 1.9 GB will be available at users end.
The processor will be backed by a 512 MB RAM out of this free RAM will be only 211 MB, which implies your device will lag over a period of time, but there are ways to deal with it.
The biggest user complaint we came across was for the battery. As the battery capacity is 1300 mAh which is not much. This will give you a talk time of around 4 hours only!
This Phone will compete with domestic brand smartphones like Micromax Canvas Fun A63, Micromax canvas Fun A74, Xolo A500S and Spice Stellar Glamour all priced below it and featuring similar or better specifications on paper.
The phone will also compete against phones like Samsung Galaxy Trend and Samsung Galaxy Star Pro from tier 1 manufacturers. The Quad core devices available in almost the same price range like Panasonic T11 and Xolo Q700 will also mark a dent in its sales.
