With Econometrics professor Neeraj Hatekar being suspended without allowing to give an explanation, we have listed the other university employees who have suspended without prior notice:
1) Former registrar K. Venkatramani
2) Former controller of examinations Vilas Shinde
3) Head of University’s Central Computing facility Durgesh N Majumdar
Vilas Shinde was suspended in Jan 2012 for submitting forged documents to support his work experience. Within 15 days, the documents were cleared and currently he is working with Datta Meghe College of Engineering.
Majumdar was suspended for not giving hall tickets to students before their exam in 2012. But sources said the fault was with MKCL, the agency that was to issue hall tickets.
Although Venkatramani, Vilas Shinde and Majumdar were cleared of all the charges after they moved to the court, but they were not reinstated.
Thus, suspension creates a blot on many’s careers and MU employees are no exception.
