Tell us about the most fun you have had on the job?
I got sent to Beijing, China for a week just to present a paper for 20 minutes and it was the best! The Chinese people were so friendly and they took us to the Great Wall of China, to the Bird nest Stadium and showed us different things about their culture. That was the fun part of my job! From there I went to Turkey to another meeting and had lots of fun sightseeing there too! That’s considered on the job right?
“Earning more and more” is the motive behind doing BMS? Is it justifiable?
No I don’t think it is justifiable because in now days or I can say in this world money is more important than anything. Earning is not a motive behind doing BMS, It’s just a choice of knowledge one likes to go ahead with. Earning in minimum 6digits should be the motive behind doing BMS.
Is the Name of the Institute from where a student does his/her BMS important while entering into corporate world?
No, I think his/her skills are more important than an institute name. But it’s important in the sense that the name gives identification.
What message would you like to give to the students aspiring to work at management level?
Pursue this field only if you like it, not because your parents are asking you to. Take time to think before taking up this profession. Once in, overlook your family and personal life for the next two years. Each B School has a lot to offer. Try to learn the maximum from your teachers. Learn to apply that knowledge. You might not get good marks, but remember that you have LEARNT more than others which have more weightage.
If you are hiring a person for a job, what would you look for?
I would look for good communication skill and for great dedication towards job and responsibility to work in under pressure also. Other than this I will look for Qualification, attitude, team spirit, sincerity, and spirit.
