Replacement Transfer : Replacement transfers are made for suitable adjustment of employees in different departments. A replacement transfer programme is introduced when all operations of the organisation are declining. The purpose of replacement transfers is to give protection to senior employees (long service employees) as long as possible. Here, a junior employee may be replaced by a senior employee who is excess in some other department. Replacement transfers are quite common during the period of recession / depression.
