Over population of pest organisms.
With tremendous increase in the agricultural crops all over the world, most favourable conditions are created for the pest organisms. Consequently, there is great increase in pest populations. To check these and protect the crop, heavy use of pesticides is in practice. The non-biodegradable chemicals in such pesticides pollute soil and water, and cause many serious health problems through bioaccumulation.
