Aren’t you bored of having mangoes in the same old way? Either mango juice, slice or pieces. We all need variety in everything and anything we eat. Our tongues love it and so do we, we Indians are blessed to have variety in mangoes. Alphonso-The king of mangoes, Dasheri, Kesar, Banganapalli and the list goes on!
We are so restless people that we also consume raw mangoes and make variety of pickles and summer juices out of it. Here I am presenting you a sweet and a spicy recipe that anyone of you can make in no time with the ingredients we all have at home.
1. Mango passionate smoothie:
INGREDIENTS:
1 large mango, peeled, flesh roughly chopped
1 cup frozen flavored yoghurt
½ cup milk
2 tablespoon sugar
STEPS:
Place chopped mangoes, frozen yoghurt, sugar and milk in a blender. Blend until smooth and thick. Pour into glasses and serve chilled.
This is a best recipe to beat the rising mercury levels and have a great sweet time. Now its time to have something spicy and hot as our weather. Here is the second recipe
2. Mango Salsa:
INGREDIENTS:
1 2 mangoes, chopped
2 1 red bird’s eye chilly, de-seeded and sliced
3 1/2 small red onion, finely chopped
4 2 tablespoon shredded fresh mint leaves
5 1 garlic clove, crushed
6 1 kaffir lime leaf, finely shredded
STEPS
Place mango, chilli, lime juice, onion, mint, garlic and lime leaf in a bowl. Stir gently to combine. Cover. Refrigerate. Serve with Kaffir lime and lemon salmon.
