Akshaya Tritiya or Akha Teej or Parshuram Jayanti is a holy day for Hindus and Jains which falls on 2nd May 2014, Friday. It falls on the 3rd Tithi or lunar day of Vaishakha and one of the most important days for Hindus. It is an auspicious day of Lord Parshuram’s birthday.
