How does it feel to be a Topper in the university exams? Whom will you credit your success to? What was your success mantra?
It gives me immense sense of happiness and pride to be a topper in the university exam. I would like to give the credit for this first and foremostly to my family because of their unconditional love and support and all my professors and friends specially to my Co ordinator Prof. Devika S. Suryawanshi , who always encouraged and motivated me and believed in my potential. Besides I have been the topper in my college since SEM 1st so it feels really great to be a topper in university exam as well. My success mantra is “Success belongs to those who dare to achieve it ”
Did you prepare any timetable and please share your study strategy/exam tips to crack each subject of sem 5?
Yes I had prepared study timetable to study from first day of college itself. I religiously practiced at least one hour of study daily that’s the reason when others were studying I used to play. Since my forte is theoretical subjects I first studied theory subjects and then started with practical papers. Besides I personally feel solving past university exam question papers also helped me a lot to score good grades
Do you think BMS student require coaching classes or is self-study enough? Had you joined any coaching class for a particular subject?
Yes , students should join classes for scoring better marks because when a student joins any class the input from professors become double (in college as well as classes) which leads to better understanding of any subject and more practice of practical sums which obviously leads to better score. I had joined Navigator Tutorials and it really help me a lot. My special thanks to Mr.VISHAL MEHTA & Mr.UTKARSH KAPARIA for their encouragement and support .
What was your specialization subject? Why did you opt for it?
My specialization subject was Special Study In Finance and I opted for it because considering the present job scenario .And also I feel Finance is more Interesting and with clear concepts you can score good marks.
Can you list the textbooks you referred for all subjects?
HRM Rishabh Publication
SSM Vipul prakashan
Business Ethics Thakur Publication (Prof. Devika .S Suryawanshi )
Logistic & SCM Rishabh Publication (Vishal & Mihir Mehta )
FM Classes Notes
SSF Classes Notes
Which was your worst paper? Why? Which was your best paper? Why?
My worst paper was FM as there were unexpected questions and I did silly mistakes and best paper was Service Sector Management as I could attempt majority of questions right.
Today, we often come across students committing suicide out of failure, depression or tension of exams. What do you have to say about this? Did you use any special techniques for stress management?
Suicide is not the solution to any problem as we all know that your college grades are not the only deciding factor for your bright future as we all know success and failure are a part and parcel of life which we all have to face at one or the other point of time. I strongly believe that suicide is a sign of being coward. Unless and until you believe yourself and face the situation (both good or bad )
You can’t think about being successful . To sum it up you should have fighter spirit and that include your ability to handle both success as well as failure.
The Black Book project contributing a significant part to the percentage, please share the experiences you had during the preparation of the project and how has it benefited you.
I did my project on ‘ Green Marketing – Study of Eco-Friendly Products ’ . Yes it is a significant part of the curriculum as it contributes to your overall grades. Actually I started working on this project from july itself in order to get in-depth knowledge and information. My guide Prof. Devika .S Suryawanshi also helped me a lot for completing my project .The insights provided by her helped me to face my viva more confidently and get O grade.
Did you pursue any additional courses/ internships alongside BMS? What are your future plans?
No, I did not pursue any additional courses or internship along with BMS. I want to pursue my MBA (Operational Management ).
Any tips and advises for your juniors?
I would like to advice to my juniors
- Start solving practical question paper as you actually require a lot of practice to crack exam paper .
- Make notes and start learning theory in whatever style you are comfortable but make sure you don’t skip any chapter or topic .
- Solve past university question papers and question banks that you get from college or classes because they are very helpful but at the moment keep them on hold till exam.
- Make it a point to attend lecture regularly as it really helps you to get a better understanding of the subject .
The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.
