- Tell us more about yourself.
I am hard working and fun loving person. I always like to try new things. Making PPTs, listening music and reading books are my hobbies. My college’s BMS department is the best department in the world. All teachers are very cooperative; loving and friendly. My teachers are incredibly the best.
- Were you expecting to top in the exams? To whom would you credit this success to?
No I was not expecting to top in the exams because FM’s paper was hell for me. But other theory papers saved my 1st rank. Thanks to my teachers who made my base strong. I would like to credit my success to all my teachers, my parents, my sweet sister, my friends and the almighty GOD.
- Did you prepare religiously from day One or A few weeks before the exams?
No I was not preparing from day one. It is not always necessary to prepare from day one to score good marks but your attendance in the class matters a lot. Because BMS study don’t require memorizing and you won’t even get time to do that because of presentations and project work. But your concepts should be clear and no one can clear your concepts except your teachers. Once your concepts are clear few days are enough to prepare for exam. I followed the same thing.
- How did you allot time to different subjects?
No, I didn’t made timetable for daily studies. But I always take my internals that may be tutorials or presentation seriously. Because no one can stop you from scoring in internals. And while preparing for internals you get prepared for external exam.
- Can you share some insights on how to crack the subjects before exams?
About the theory papers your paper should be neat and clean. Always prefer drawing diagrams while writing answers. Examples always add marks to your answers.
You should not leave case study blank. Never copy the sentences from the case study. Try to write case study’s answers in your own words.
- Do you think BMS student require coaching classes or is self-study enough? Had you joined any coaching class for a particular subject?
No, BMS students don’t require coaching classes. Your professors and self-study is enough. No I didn’t join any coaching class for any subject.
- Did you participate in college fests or extra-curricular activities? Do you think a BMS student can manage both studies and extra activitiy?
I participated in Inter College Avishkar Research Convention and represented my college at University level. I also participated in my college’s presentation competition. Being a BMS student one should always participate in such activities because it always adds to your personality and your resume`.
- Did you pursue any additional courses/ internships alongside BMS?
No I didn’t pursue any additional course or internship alongside BMS. But I was preparing for CMAT.
- Today, we often come across students committing suicide out of failure, depression or tension of exams. What do you have to say about this? Did you use any special techniques for stress management?
Whenever you face such situation first think about your parents and dear ones who really cares for you. Try to face situation by keeping faith in God.
- Do you think the number of Industrial visits should be increased for BMS Students? Which industries have you visited?
Atleast one industrial visit should be arranged by college once in a year. Other than these students can arrange visits to industries on their responsibility for their projects like we did. Our college arranged IV to company’s in Bangalore, Ooty, Mysore, Hyderabad and Mahabaleshwar. For our projects we on our own responsibility visited companies like Johnson, Kesari, Pepsico, DUCOL,various malls, etc. For my 6th sem project I visited 100 Ganesh Idol Making wokshops in Maharashtra.
- Do you think BMS students are flooded with assignments, projects and internal exams round the clock? What changes would you like to bring in the BMS Curriculum?
I am satisfied with current BMS curriculum.
- What message would you like to give to the next batch of BMS students?
Break this year’s highest record. I would like to share the lines said by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, “Don’t take rest after success because there are others outside to say, the last victory was just luck.
