QUICK FACTS OF ONE PLUS:

1. OnePlus is a smartphone manufacturer in China. OnePlus was founded in December 2013 by Pete Lau.Pete Lau was previously the Vice President at OPPO.

2. OnePlus’s first product, the OnePlus One, was announced on 23 April 2014.It was released in two versions 16 GB and 64 GB models. The phone can be bought through the invite system only.

3. The OnePlus One runs a custom version of CyanogenMod named 11S.It is based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat initially then upgradable to 4.4.4 KitKat. The OnePlus One uses a Snapdragon 801 with 3 GB RAM, a 3100 mAh battery, a 5.5″ 1920 x 1080 (Full HD 1080p)  with 401 ppi, a 6-lens 13 MP f/2.0 Sony Exmor IMX214 camera. There are two options for storage, 16 GB and 64 GB.The Phone Does not have a microSD card slot. The back cover of the phone is replaceable.

4. On 16 December 2014 the Delhi High Court banned the import and sales of OnePlus One phones in India as a lawsuit  by Micromax stating that Micromax has exclusivity for shipping phones with cyanogenmod software in India.

5. OnePlus founder said that the company only learned of the deal a few days before launching its smartphones in India and is currently working on its own Android skin to replace Cyanogen.
