When did you join this profession? What inspired you to choose this line?
Fifteen Years ago had the charisma to teach and patience to inspire.
As a Coordinator, do you also teach any subjects? If yes, which subjects you teach and which you love the most?
Yes, Financial Accounts, Management Accounting and Direct and Indirect Tax
How are the roles and responsibilities of a Coordinator different from that of a faculty? Do you like being a Faculty or a Coordinator? Which helps you to connect more with students?
To be connected to the students’ position is not a reason, Co-ordinator is just a link between the student and the management and to do official work, If you really care you can connect with the students even when they exit the colleges.
Tell us something about your college fests/events and extra-curicular activities?
The students of BMS Faculty attended the following guest lectures conducted by the Departmental Association (Andrean Business Youth Organization):
For T.Y.B.M.S, Geebee Education conducted a presentation on ‘Studies Abroad’ on 2nd August 2011.The students attended a session on ‘Corporate Etiquette’ conducted on 9th August 2011 by Prof. Vinima Sharma. On 27 August 2011, a session on ‘Emerging Trends in Entrepreneurship’ was conducted by Christian Chamber of Commerce. Mrs. Pratibha Jain, a renowned counselor with Education Times conducted a session on ‘Higher Education in India and Abroad’ on 2nd February 2012.
To encourage lateral thinking among second year student’s business games were conducted on 17 August 2011 by Prof.Vinima Sharma and Prof. Mamatha D’Souza. Screening of the following clippings on production of Heinz Ketchup, Chocolate, Monginis, Manufacturing of milk and butter was shown in order to understand its production cycle and quality standards. The Story of Amul and other educational and motivational videos was also screened by Prof. Savina Shenoy.
The association also organized a variety of events giving our first year students a learning opportunity on Soft and Interactive Skills by Ms. Anju Radhakrishnan (Corporate Trainer) on 17 August 2011. Prof. Savina Shenoy conducted intra class Business Quiz Competition on 1st August 2011. The students are also encouraged and guided by Prof. Jenny Benoy to take up interns through Let Intern’s.com.
On World Youth Day the BMS Students organized the event and held Gospel Rock Intercollegiate Choreography Competition under the co-ordination of Prof. Mamatha D’Souza.
All BMS students were taken on an Industrial Visit to Maganlal Chikki, Lonavla to expose them to the business environment of Small Scale Industries.

Pratik Patil and Anthony D’souza were a part of the team that wonFirst Placein the Street Football League beating Chennai in the finals held atGoa.
Valentine Fernandes and Pearl Almeida were selected as top 25 Campus Managers inIndia.
MTV GANG NEXT
Vamps group was the winner in Mumbai city. The members of the group are Adnan Chaudhary, Mark Menezes, Maazen Tabrez and Pearl Almeida.
SWEDEN INDIA MEMORIAL QUIZ
Valerian D’costa, Brian Kutikat and Reynold Mascarenhes won 1st place in the quiz competition conducted at the event.
Allan Quadros and Brian Kutikat won 2nd place in Debate on the topic of Foreign Direct Investment held atNationalCollege.
Jovita Jose won the second runners up for All Clear Fresh Face 2011.Last but not the least Valerian D’costa, Brian Kutikat, Saurabh Pol and Trisha Coelho has entered the second qualifying round in CIMA Global Business Challenge.
Do you believe that it should be made compulsory for students to manage both studies and be a part of college fests/events?
Those interested should be encouraged to participate and the necessary adjustments need to be done.
