Akshaya Tritiya or Akha Teej or Navanna Parvam is celebrated on 2nd May 2014, Friday. It is a very auspicious day for Hindus and Jains. “Akshaya” means never-ending and the day is believed to bring good luck and success. The river Ganges are believed to descend on the earth from heaven on this day.
