Competitive advantage is an advantage over competitions gained by offering consumers greater value, either by means lower prices or by providing greater benefits and services that justifies higher prices.



There are two main types of competitive advantage comparative advantage and differential advantage.

Comparative advantage is a firm’s ability to produce a good or service at lower cost than its competitions.

A differential advantage is created when a firm’s products or services differ from its competitors.
