Class XII  CBSE exam papers on Saturday was as expected and there were no surprises or shocks.

Both Function and Core English papers were easy, balanced and standardised with good questions on a variety of issues.

In Core English, writing part was quite long, Speech and article parts were quite tricky and the format has to be worked out.

For e.g. Candidates were asked to compose a speech on corruption as a journalist and write an article on a neighbourhood book exhibition. Argumentative questions on Uttarakhand floods and essay topic like Violence against women were also asked.

Section A was easy and will help to score well. Section B had questions related to contemporary issues.

Questions from literature section were asked from the NCERT textbook based and easy for students to tackle well.

Questions from the novel (The Hound of the Baskervilles, Arthur Conan Doyle) introduced for the first time were simple.
