There is a direct relationship between employee motivation and management as high employee motivation results in high productivity and profitability whereas low employee motivation results in lost productivity and lost profitability. For example, in organisations where the managements are effective, the following would result in employee motivation:
Rewarding employees for their performance through both monetary and non-monetary rewards.
Recognising employee contribution towards the attainment of overall organisational success.
Provide employees with opportunity for career advancements and career development.
In a profit-oriented organisation, a motivated workforce can increase productivity as well the profitability of the firm. On the other hand, in a service-oriented organisation, a motivated workforce would perform highly which would result in provision of excellent customer services.
