SSC CGL exam will comprise of Objective type  i.e. multiple choice questions.
Tier-I
Tier I Examination will be common for all categories of posts.
Negative marking will be provided for each wrong answer.
Tier-II
Negative marking of 0.50 marks will be given for each answer for paper –I and paper-III.
Negative marking of 0.25 marking will be given for paper –II
SSC CGL exam paper will be set both in Hindi and English in respect of Parts A, B and C.
Candidates will be given a duration of 2 hours.

Note: While Paper-I & II are compulsory for all the categories of posts, Paper-III will be conducted only for those candidates who apply for Statistical Investigator Gr.II & Compiler.
The Commission will also hold interview, skill test and Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) for SSC Combined Graduate level (CGL) exam.
*SSC CGL Tier III Examination is called as Interview and will carry a maximum of 100 marks.
*SSC CGL Skill Test is Data Entry Speed Test (DEST) at 8,000 Key Depression per hour on Computer.
*SSC CGL CPT is called the Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) consisting the below three modules for the post of Assistants of CSS such as:
Word Processing
Spread Sheet and
Generation of Slides
