The written test will be of objective type and of total of 200 Marks. Total questions will be 200 and a total time of 150 mins will be allotted for these questions.

Note that option of Hindi Language is available only in States of category A & B. There are three categories A, B and C in which ‘C’ category states do not have Hindi as their official language so candidates will not have this option and English will be mandatory for them.
Candidates after passing the exam will be eligible for RRBs in states under the category they have applied for (A/B Or C). States in respective category as per official languages act are
Category A – Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand States and Andaman & Nicobar Islands, National Capital Territory of Delhi Union Territories.
Category B – Gujarat, Maharashtra and Punjab States and Chandigarh Union Territory
Category C – All other States and Union Territories not included in the A and B Regions
There will be Negative Marking for wrong answers of .25 of the total marks for the question.
