What comes first to your mind when I say the epic word “college”? You might say drama, bunking lectures and having a lot of fun. But what about a normal regular student who attends college throughout the year; probably attending each and every possible lecture. People might tag him NERDY but in my opinion that person is just enjoying college life by staying in CLASS.
However, there might be bunch of people who would say “ugggh you attend lectures?” “don’t you get bored in class” “Ahh I check my watch after every 5 minutes” “oh I almost dozed in class” “I only attend for attendance yaa.” to all of them , I simply reply : “I am getting what you will repent later”
Actually, I love attending college. It’s kind of a fun. Nowadays the class room teaching has changed altogether. Teachers have adopted an extremely interactive way of teaching. They substantiate with videos, ppts, a lot of examples, real life case studies which keeps student attention hooked. Also teachers are very amiable. Gone are those days when we looked at them with sheer fear or bitterness. Nowadays they are more approachable.
We learn something new every single day – be it HRM, accounts, Ethics, Business Environment or whichever subject. It just takes me to another world. I would love attending lectures if we have it on psychology or philosophy as I really like the two of them. I love exploring knowledge. Learning new facts, knowing small trivia’s about people. We learnt how Dhirubhai Ambani and Vijay Malya made it big. Or what inspired Jamsedji Tata to built Taj. These are all inside facts you encounter only when you listen keenly to what is being taught. We learn how to behave with employees, what are the strategies adopted for particular kind of product or market etc.
At the end of the day we all aspire to work in a good organization and every organization is going to judge us from the college we belong to. We represent our college as we the students are the image of our college.
So eventually it’s in your own hands how to make or break that image!!
So keep attending!!!
