Gone Girl is an American mystery thriller movie which is based on the 2012 novel of same name written by Gillian Flynn, who had even written the screenplay for the film. Gone Girl is directed by David Fincher, and stars Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike, Neil Patrick Harris, Tyler Perry, and Carrie Coon. Gone Girl had its world premiere on opening night of the 52nd New York Film Festival on September 26, 2014, a week before making its nationwide theatrical release on October 3. The film is expected to be a little different from the novel.
