Delhi University says that around 50% of the degree college students fail to get jobs during campus placements. This is the reason why the University has launched 4 year-format degree programmes so that students can learn vital data analysis skills in the foundation courses of business and entrepreneurship in the first and second year of the programmes.
It was also found that companies which come for campus placements recruit only 2-3 students out of 1000 students who sit for the placements which leads to frustration among the students. The companies also are unable to find suitable candidates and hence, they promise not to come again to the campus for placements.
Atleast Delhi University realized the problems and has taken some initiatives to help students get jobs..!
