Aahān is an initiative by students of SVKM’s Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Management bringing together enthusiasts from the distinct fields of Media, Management and I.T. and providing a hub for them to create and collaborate. An annual international festival, Aahān, now in its third year, is set to serve up a storm.
Stepping it up a notch Aahān takes you to the world encapsulated in the latitudinal limits of 23.5° north and south. The theme this year is ‘On Torrid Turfs’ – the trio of sun-kissed beaches, majestic rainforests and desert expanses that will enfold you in a tropical swirl. Cacophonic cries and blur-hurried hues welcome you at Aahān.
Getting better with every year and going from strength to strength, Aahān has a total of 42 events for the participating aficionados to lock horns at. This time around, the aspiring winners can compete in categories – Media, Management, Sports and Gaming, I.T., Literary Art, Fine Art, Photography and Informal events. It’s time to wage war.
Actors Shreyas Talpade, Siddhant Karnick, Emraan Hashmi, Shazahn Padamsee, Vatsal Sheth and Pushtiie Shakti, renowned producers Firoz Nadiadwala and Aashin Shah, acclaimed directors Mahesh Manjrekar, Nagesh Kukunoor, Madhur Bhandarkar and Ashu Trikha as well as theatre veteran Dolly Thakore have been a part of Aahān. Ready to join us this year is Amrik Gill – Dialogue writer of Yaadein and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Girish Dhamija – Script writer of Gangster, Rahul Dholakia – Writer-Director-Producer of National Award winning film ‘Parzania’, and Deepak Tijori of ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar’ fame. We are also expecting Varun Dhawan, Ritesh Deshmukh, Abbas Tyrewala and Jackky Bhagnani to be present at our January extravaganza.
