What are principles & Methods of training to be followed in Entrepreneurial training?

Ans:   Principles of Training

The following are the main principles of training :-

1.      Principle of need –

Training should be given in a proper atmosphere and that too systematically by qualified and trained instructor keeping in mind the need of the trainees.

2.      Principle of Reword –

The aim of training is to increase efficiency and work culture, with the result, profit will increase. Effort should be made to declare reasonable promotion, increase in salary and higher position, before the commencement of the training. It will make training more successful.

3.      Principle of Individual Differences –

Training is given in groups. The group of trainees should be of similar capabilities as each individual has different level of understanding.

4.      Principle of Practicality –

Training should not stress on theory, but it should be supplemented by practical training and efforts should be made to make it interesting.

5.      Principle of Repetition –     

Once training is given it should be repeated after some time so that employees are refreshed. It will make them up to date.

6.      Principle of Economy –

An effort should be made to minimize the cost of training.

7.      Principle of Planning –

Before training it should be well planned, so that the level of training should be decided. It should be comprehensive and the participant should be made familiar with the latest tread. in production technology. It should be in a systematic way rather than in an unplanned manner.

8.      Principle of Open Competition –

This principle rather to the new appointment in the organization through promotion or from external sources. Thus, to be in the open race, employee should take extensive training otherwise, outsiders will be taken and their claim will not be justified.

9.      Principle of continuity –

Change is the law of nature. There are always new change and challenges in business environment everyday. An effort should be made at continuous training programme to make latest changes known to employees.

 

Methods of Training

The following are the important methods by which training may be imparted

1.      Group Instruction –

This mode of training is suitable for a group of individuals who have to perform similar type of work and where general instructions as applicable to all are to be given.

2.      Individual Instruction –       

Under this method a single individual is selected for training. This mode of training is undertaken where a complicated skill is to be taught to an individual.

3.      Lecture Method –

Here, the instructor orally communicates the practice to be following by the learners. Under this method, whenever there are any doubts, they may be clarified on the spot.

4.      Demonstration Method –

Where, the performance of work is to be shown physically by the instructor for better understanding, this method can be followed. This is more concerned with the practical than theoretical aspect.

5.      Conference –

Conference are frequency organized wherein experts in the field share their ideas and bring to the notice of learners the new ideas and techniques, that can be used to increase production.

6.      Meetings –

Meetings are a mode of training involving a group of people who discuss the various problems confronting them. They involve exchanging ideas and views and later on, coming to a firm conclusion based on the various proposals and alternatives.

7.      Writing Instructional Method –

This method of training is followed, where a future reference is to be made by the learners. This method is mostly followed where a standardised production system is followed.
