India’s Sunday morning wakeup call is back and that too with a much deserved bang! Aamir Khan doesn’t fail to amaze you throughout the 2 hours where he takes you on a journey addressing issues that have always been on your mind but could never take center stage as they didn’t impact you directly.
Starting off with the combination of sensational yet sentimental topic yesterday, Satyemev Jayate addressed the issue of ‘Rape’ in our nation. An ineffective police department, requirement of medical attention and the lethargic legal procedures Aamir covered it all.
Along with creating awareness he made a space in our hearts by getting to our television screens the stories of the victims and their families in a way that they impacted us immensely yet, did not compromise in any way on the dignity and the self respect of these brave women and their families.
People have labeled this actor as the man who is selling India’s misery in order to earn money, but the fact remains that we need someone to address these issues and give this nation the required wakeup call!
A land with the second largest population in the world has the man-power to take over any hindrance in its growth and stand up for its rights, provided we stand united and this is what Aamir Khan has done by launching ‘Satyemev Jayate’.
He may be addressing the coffee table conversationalists, but hey aren’t these the intellectual breed who once united will take over the rest of the population? Even though there is a lot of criticism coming towards Satyameva Jayate, the fact remains that this is one show that shall affect all segments of the Indian society and won’t fail to touch the hearts of all Indians irrespective of their social strata, caste or creed.
As a youth based portal www.bms.co.in firmly believes that the youth of today do need such shows to inspire and help us aspire for a India of tomorrow that is free from the fears of all those critical issues that our society has been struggling with!
