Rafeal Naadal once again proved himself that when it comes to Badminton he is surely the undefeated king. Eight-time world champion Rafeal Nadal outclassed Dusan Lajovic with a score of 6-1, 6-2 on Monday to storm in to the French Open quarterfinals. Nadal who turned 28 on Tuesday was at his full form showing ruthless efficiency at its best against the world number 83 who claimed a paltry 15 points off the champion’s serve.
Nadal who seeks to become the first man to win five French Opens in a row, needed just 93 minutes to go through to a last-eight showdown with his fellow citizen David Ferrer. The two men had met in the last year’s finals.
“Dusan had a great tournament; he had three good wins whose record in Paris now stands at 63 wins against just one defeat. It’s never easy playing on this Philippe Chatrier court for the first time. I controlled the points from the baseline and I am happy to be into another”- says Rafeal Nadal.
Nadal still holds a 21-6 advantage over Ferrer in their career meeting. Thus we wish both the Men all the very best for the quarterfinals and hope that the best person wins!
