In the past quality was applied only to product in manufacturing activities.

In the service industry, it includes measurement of expectations, experience, & emotions of customer.

In information age, the scope of quality has increased. It means whatever we do, will speak of quality. Quality covers right from suppliers to customers, & all those activities, which happen in between.
