Proficiency tests: These tests measure the skill or training which the applicant possesses at the time of testing. The claims of the applicants about his ability to perform a particular job are tested on actual work conditions in the factory .If the applicant is a candidate for the post of a foreman, he may be asked to explain the working of different machines. An applicant for the post of a sales executive may be asked to explain a procedure he will follow for promoting the sales of a product. These tests may be conducted in writing, orally or on the job.
