Not too long ago I ran across an easy and fun method of making beautiful as well as Christmas ornaments. These could be produced for presents or for your personal tree. You may make them a single afternoon together with your kids or friends.

    Materials:

Styrofoam Balls: assortment of sizes, but no greater than a baseball.

Fabric Squares: choice of sizes and other forms of fabric, try glitzy and velvets.

Odds and ends: of ribbon, beads, sequins, buttons, rickrack, costume jewelry, ribbon roses or and anything else you desire to embellish your ornament with.

Hot Glue Gun and Scissors: to slice and glue your pieces.

    Thread: for tying and tightening

Small Pins and Tacks: to use ribbon and beads.

    Basic Techniques:

    Step one:

Pick a gorgeous square piece of fabric. Convey a Styrofoam ball during the square.

    Step two:

Take all corners and gather them towards the core of the Styrofoam ball (this is also the best way to choose which size square works for which size ball).Take the part of precut thread and tightly wrap it across the gathered area , dab it after some little bit of hot glue so it doesn’t unravel.

    Step three:

Now you can evaluate if you should cut the gathered section of the fabric or let it sit. It totally is determined by the way it looks. If the fabric seems too bulky on the bottom then you can shear it flat. Should you choose choose to cut the most notable portion off you then must take care of that area which has a ribbon rose or beads.

    Step # 4:

You have to make a loop with ribbon, or beads on the wire, and fix it in the center of the Styrofoam ball using a pin or tack and again some glue; from the same area in places you gathered and cut the pad. This loop is how you will hang the ornament for the tree.

    Step five:

The real fun begins. Start attaching ribbon or beads or buttons; some of the embellishments which you have chosen. You need to use little sequin pins or tacks and stick things in through the fabric and to the ball. Use a tiny dab of glue; you wouldn’t want anything falling off!

Once you think your ornament is complete twirl it around and ensure it looks wonderful from all of angles. Make sure you cover or hide something that doesn’t look attractive. You possibly can make many different sizes of ornaments. These are quite light and easy to hang.
