Have you ever been in love? OMG….the feeling is so great. You feel like you are the happiest person in the world. The presence of that person makes you feel complete. Am I wrong? I am sure each and every person would have experienced that feeling. Love of a school going boy for his Maths teacher….Love of a college girl for her professor. It can be anything. But does it last forever. Maybe yes or maybe not. During 1990’s the trend of “love at first sight” in movies was going around, which is no longer there. There is a possibility that today’s generation is much more practical. They have become career oriented and these feelings have taken a backseat.
I am not saying that long term relationships can’t start with love at first sight. My friends…everything is possible. But the question is how many relationships starts and lasts long based upon love at first at. Very few…..I am sure all you guys out there will agree with me. If you all can understand this article, you can also understand the message I am trying to convey.
In today’s world, where everything has become materialistic, where people have taken the liberty of making and breaking relationships, whether it is a relation between girlfriend and boyfriend or husband and wife, the concept of “love at first sight” has become a fantasy. I cannot comment on the situation when I myself did not have a proper understanding of the word ‘love’. But now when I do, for me it’s difficult to believe.
If a guy approaches me to say he likes me from the moment he saw me, the first thought that passes my mind is ‘how long will this feeling stay’. But on the other hand, when I see my friends getting married to the person they have always been with, I feel like trusting this concept. But hey, there is no guarantee that the all the relationships that ends up in marriage, will last.
You can take the example of your favourite hero Hrithik Roshan and Suzanne Roshan. They seemed to be made for each other. Love at first sight, then marriage, kids, a happy married life….dream come true. But did it last. They have ended up divorcing each other. On the other hand, my uncle and aunt did a love marriage and is still a happily married couple after 25 years. In my opinion, love at first sight is possible, but it’s not depended upon time era but people and their mind set.
A friendly advice to all my friends who are in love…don’t aim to get married but aim to stay married to the same person, with whom you fell in love at first.
