Interview with MITESH SURESH DHOBLE, TYBMS Sem 5 Topper 2013-14, VIDYALANKAR SCHOOL OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY who scored 79.43% and GPA Score –6.57

How does it feel to be a Topper in the university exams? Whom will you credit your success to? What was your success mantra?

I was on seventh heaven when I heard this; I never expected to be a topper but did aim for it. I credit my success to my parents, my teachers and my friends.

Did you prepare any timetable and please share your study strategy/exam tips to crack each subject of sem 5?

I did not make any master plan for studying the subjects but articulated the flow of learning concepts. One just has to be smart and hard working to crack each subject. If one is good at vocabulary, theory subjects are not an issue. Practice makes man perfect and financial management sums do go with this saying. The more you practice the more you develop liking towards it.

Do you think BMS student require coaching classes or is self-study enough? Had you joined any coaching class for a particular subject?

Well it all depends on the student because he is the one who knows his capabilities. College may or may not be able to complete the portion and with fine accuracy, so to be on a safer side one should join classes for FM subject. And so did i. But I am making a general statement and it does not stand as implication.

What was your specialization subject? Why did you opt for it?

I took finance as a specialization subject, thinking of learning new financial terms with the habit of always trying some new.

Can you list the textbooks you referred for all subjects?

I referred to RISHABH and VIPUL which were local publications.

Which was your worst paper? Why? Which was your best paper? Why?

I wouldn’t call it as worst paper but tricky-financial management.

Today, we often come across students committing suicide out of failure, depression or tension of exams. What do you have to say about this? Did you use any special techniques for stress management?

The greatest glory in living lies in not never falling but in rising every time we fall. Remember one single sheet of paper will never decide your future. I always used to drink lot of water to stress down the situation.

The Black Book project contributing a significant part to the percentage, please share the experiences you had during the preparation of the project and how has it benefited you.

Consider your black book as your baby .Collect more of primary data. It adds a lot to the overall score.

Did you pursue any additional courses/ internships alongside BMS? What are your future  plans?

Yes I will recommend pursuing some additional courses or internship along with your BMS especially in first and second year. I learnt one foreign language and also did internship at Birla sun life.

Any tips and advises for your juniors?

Don’t stress! Be dedicated at times. Enjoy your life.

All the best friends!!
